Premium Tea
As
the second most consumed beverage
in the world, Tea has been an important
part of our lives at chatchada.com. It
has also influenced our design interest
in teapots and teacups. Four teas
from the Red Green Company are some of
our new additions. Formulated as Chinese
premium teas, these teas are designed
from moment the leaves are picked from
the tea plant. Using three primary techniques
- oxidation (fermented), non oxidation
(not fermented) and semi oxidation (partially
fermented) - the teas are produced into
a variety of flavors. Each tea should
then be brewed at specific times for
optimal taste. The four teas include
two greens, an oolong, and a jasmine
tea. Each are packaged in an elliptical
clay jar, designed to complete the presentation.

Gun
Powder (Green) Tea
From the Red Green Company, the Gun Powder is a pearl tea, the tea leaves are
rolled before drying. A distinction of this premium tea is its earthy and smokey
taste, great for after meals. Steep in boiling temperature water for 3 to 4 minutes.
The tea comes in a reusable elliptical clay jar to complete itself as a design
gift. The jar has a grainy unglazed finish and lift off top. Each clay jar contains
100 grams of tea.

Rose
Ball Tea
Rose Ball tea was created in the midst
of the Ming Dynasty's renaissance of
art, literature, fashion and decor.
The young leaves are picked from tender
short branches and hand rolled into
the shape of pearls. The pearls are
then aged with rose petals, which gives
it the subtle favor infusion of herbal
teas and a slight aroma. Brew in boiling
temperature water for 2 to 3 minutes.
The tea comes in a reusable utilitarian
clay jar that has a smooth unglazed
finish. Each clay jar contains 70 grams
of tea.

Golden
Xuan (Oolong) Tea
This oolong tea is a premium fermented
tea variety. The tea grows on ridges
and hills surrounded by winding springs
and cool mists. Characterized with
a smooth and full flavor, it is compliment
to any meal. Brew in boiling temperature
water for 3 to 4 minutes. The tea is
contained in a functional clay jar
that can be reused for spice storage.
Each clay jar contains 75 grams of
tea.

Olive
Jasmine Tea
These tea leaves are hand selected only from the branch tips with fresh young
tea shoots. The leaves are rolled into an olive shape, placed above a bed of
fresh jasmine buds and sealed in an air tight environment. The tender leaves
are permeated with the sweet aroma of jasmine. Unlike most green teas, the taste
is slightly sweet and fragrant. Steep in boiling temperature water for 2 to 3
minutes. An added design element is the elliptical clay jar that holds the tea-a
distinct object that is easily carried and references a time before screw tops.
Each clay jar contains 80 grams of tea.
