Sakana Sculpture 321
The Japanese cast ironworks date back to the 17th century when royalty commissioned iron masters to create teapots for traditional ceremonies. Now known as the Nambu Cast iron craft, it has evolved into a prized skill that produces stunning pieces. The Sakana sculpture, one of a series of playful animal table ornaments, resembles a simplified fish. Each sculpture is attached to a light wood base.

Hato Sculpture 320
This Nambu Cast iron sculpture takes the shape of bird, specifically a dove, as it soars into the sky. As a sculpture, it combines a static function with a dynamic pose of motion, in addition to the symbolism of dove. This simply gorgeous sculpture is a great example of modern design and traditional craft.

Dori Sculpture 317
At first glance the Dori sculpture looks as thought it is moving. Resembling a dolphin underwater, the success of its design shape and use of richly visible material creates a table masterpiece.

Nezu Sculpture 319
The Nezu Sculpture resembles a rooster in profile, similar in shape to the north arrow windmills found on farmhouses. This profile also give it an attitude in its stature that makes it a one of kind table piece.

Neko Sculpture 318
From the Japanese Nambu cast iron craft, the Neko Sculpture has a uniquely modern and also unusual shape. It is a bird, a wolf or a cat? The joy is in imagining how these animal shapes influenced this beautiful piece.
